The house is a weekend retreat for a restaurant owner. The plan is organized vertically around a core and living spaces separated by a circulation zone. A bridge entry at the second level connects between the house and a carport. The second level contains the living/dining and kitchen spaces and provides the primary living and entertaining area. A two-story window projects out from the living room to capture a view of the lake from the living, dining and kitchen areas, as well as the master bedroom. Overlooking the living room on the third level is the master bedroom.
The stair housed in a core with the kitchen and toilets, gives access to a fourth level roof deck that is protected by a suspended canopy. A projected bay from the kitchen anchors the suspended canopy.
